Junior Recycling Officers' plea to parents...
Dear parents and guardians,
We are the Junior Recycling Officers at Offley - our names are Alesha, Grace, Holly and Tilly. We are VERY enthusiastic about recycling and looking after our planet.
At school, we collect paper and cardboard from each class and put it into the recycling bins. Also, we collect crisp packets and these are sent off to Terracycle to be recycled into garden furniture! We are always looking for new ideas and so we are now collecting batteries (AAA, AA, C, D only) to stop them ending up in landfill.
We have a new idea to save the planet and also to raise money for our school! If you ever use foil, clingfilm or plastic sandwich bags for packed lunches or picnics, WE HAVE FOUND SOMETHING BETTER! Please look at the attached leaflet and buy a natural cotton wrap for your child's lunches and maybe even yours! By buying the wraps, 10% of the total cost will be donated to school funds, but you must put the code OFFLEY10 for this to happen.
